day before September 11th up until the fall of the North Tower. The title 8:46 is taken from the time in which American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Gargano says of her film,
8:46 is a moving and heartfelt drama that follows an array of characters and storylines into the morning of 911.I wrote, produced, and directed this film as a tribute to all those affected by the attacks, and a portion of all the film’s proceeds will be donated to Tuesday’s Children–a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the families of victims of 911 and other acts of global terrorism.

sy to forget about the individual people who make up the list of nearly 3,000 who lost their lives that day. As Gargano notes,
Often when people think of that day, the haunting images of the terror, the planes and large buildings be asics tiger mens ing destroyed, the  onitsuka lawnship 2,977 deaths come to mind. This film was created to draw a more intimate, humane look at the tragic events of that day. This film is a reminder that thousands of innocent people lost their lives, and that each and every one of those people had a story. Each and every one of them had people that loved them, people that depended on them, something to live for... a life of VALUE.
8:46 does a wonderful job of meeting their goal of giving an in depth look at the victims. Though the people on screen in the film are fictional, their stories could easily be attributed to any one of the almost 3,000 people killed that Tuesday morning. Theres Colin who was pushed into accepting an internship at the World Trade Center by his disapproving dad. He calls his mother after the North Tower is hit but doesnt want to leave because its his first day and he doesnt want to disappoint his dad anymore than he already has. Or Ken Yoshida, who was simply unlikely enough to be in New York from Japan for a conference at the Twin Towers. The movie is hard to watch but is certainly worth the effort. 8:46 may be a short film at only a fifty five minute run-time but its a powerful and moving one that shows just how easily one day can change everything.
