Typically at this time of the year movie going audiences get to see two things, holiday releases by the studios and first glimpse trailers

for movies coming out next summer. Last week we got our first peek at The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and yesterday, December 10, was the release of the Godzilla trailer. This is not a sequel to the 1998 American version, but another go at making an Americanized version of the King of all Monsters. However, this new edition does not look much better than the one Roland Emmerich directed.
The new Godzilla trailer opens a with a group of paratroopers jumping out of

a plane down into a destroyed city. From one paratroopers point of view, we can see

The trailer ends with a silhouette of the beast seen through a dusty cloud as he makes his famous roar.
You can check out the Godzilla trailer for yourself by clicking the video in the sidebar. One thing we can take away from the trailer is this, the trailer to the 1998 Godzilla looked good and it was a lousy movie. This new trailer does not look very interesting, but maybe it will be a great movie. Well have to wait until May 16 when Godzilla attacks theaters everywhere.
